Pokemon was a game developed by Game Freak intended for a younger audience, however, gamers of all ages have fallen in love with this catch-em-all game.  The main premise for this game is to capture, raise, and train pokemon to their highest potential and battle them against your foes and colleagues.  On paper, it sounds barbaric, but they are too cute to be barbaric! Currently, I don't own any current generation consoles as I'm a hermit living in the past.  The real reason is that I'm a poor college student who doesn't have 400 dollars to blow on a console, thought I'd really love to through money at either Nintendo or Sony for their respective consoles.  That being said, I did leave out a key player in my desire to own a current generation console. So for years now I have watched people who just pick up a controller and call themselves gamers brag about how Call of Duty is the best game franchise in the history of gaming.  Financially and in terms of the market and units sold, they are somewhat correct.  However, their opinion of Call of Duty being the best video game franchise of all time is about as valid as Bubsy being considered the best video game franchise of all time.  For starters, this is an opinion.  Opinion means that it cannot be proven to be one way or the other definitively.
