What to Expect from Deadpool 2

Image
Deadpool 2 Promotional Material In the wake of Avengers: Infinity War it seems that we have been forgetting something as of late.  Something that blew us away a couple of years ago in February and we haven't really been the same since.  Something...or someone rather, who for some reason loves the velvety touch of red spandex on his scar-riddled skin.  Yes my friends today we will be talking about Deadpool 2, the film that is at risk of being an afterthought of Avengers: Infinity War.  I, for one, am still extremely excited to see this film and have high expectations for what it can bring to the table in order to build upon what it did the first time around.  So let's take a look shall we? It's Going to Be Better Deadpool in Deadpool 2 The trouble with a lot of sequels is trying to encapsulate the charm and appeal that the first one brought to audiences.  This is especially true when the sequels acquire a different director than their predeces...

My Review of Avengers: Infinity War

Image
Avengers: Infinity War Promotional Material I've been a Marvel fan almost my entire life.  Played the video games, collected the comic books, watched the movies, and I thought I would be completely prepared for Marvel's newest addition to the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) - Avengers: Infinity War because of this dedicated background. I. WAS. WRONG! Avengers: Infinity War shocked me and shook me to my emotional core upon watching it the first time.  Despite having read the Infinity War comic arc, I was completely in awe watching what the Russo brothers pulled off for their biggest outing yet.  Not only did it satisfy the Marvel fan in me, but it completely blew my mind in regards to the cinematic aspects myself.  My college major was digital film making, and during my studies I became familiar with every aspect of the film making industry.  With all of this combined knowledge, I knew I was going to go into Avengers: Infinity War with a smile on my face,...

The Creepiest Pokedex Entries in the Pokemon Universe (Part 1)

Image
Pokemon was a game developed by Game Freak intended for a younger audience, however, gamers of all ages have fallen in love with this catch-em-all game.  The main premise for this game is to capture, raise, and train pokemon to their highest potential and battle them against your foes and colleagues.  On paper, it sounds barbaric, but they are too cute to be barbaric! For the most part anyway...let's face it some of them are just downright creepy.  Their backstories and intentions get even creepier, so we're here to discuss the creepiest pokedex entries of pokemon.  There is a long list of Pokemon with creepy entries, and I know a lot of you have busy lives, so I'll be posting these in parts in order to save some of your time and give your eyes a bit of relief. Kadabra Kadabra Kadabra's pokedex entry in Pokemon Fire Red is an entry that is definitely shrouded in mystery and confusion.  The entry reads " It happened one morning - a boy with extrasensory ...

My Feelings on the Current Generation Consoles (PS4, XBONE, WiiU)

Image
Currently, I don't own any current generation consoles as I'm a hermit living in the past.  The real reason is that I'm a poor college student who doesn't have 400 dollars to blow on a console, thought I'd really love to through money at either Nintendo or Sony for their respective consoles.  That being said, I did leave out a key player in my desire to own a current generation console. The Xbox One is a system that personally, I didn't think would be as successful as it was.  The biggest thing was the lack of respect and care Microsoft had for its fanbase at the beginning of its strides to sell the Xbox One.  The Xbox One's famous flop at E3 2013 was one that I thought would literally kill the system, and show the fans of Microsoft who they truly are.  If you couldn't tell, I'm not the biggest Microsoft fan, and here's the reason why.  While I own a PC and people might call me a hypocrite for hating Microsoft, you have to bear in mind that tho...

The Call Of Duty Conundrum

Image
So for years now I have watched people who just pick up a controller and call themselves gamers brag about how Call of Duty is the best game franchise in the history of gaming.  Financially and in terms of the market and units sold, they are somewhat correct.  However, their opinion of Call of Duty being the best video game franchise of all time is about as valid as Bubsy being considered the best video game franchise of all time.  For starters, this is an opinion.  Opinion means that it cannot be proven to be one way or the other definitively. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Sure, Call of Duty has a lot of supporters.  But so do the likes of Super Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, Crash Bandicoot, Grand Theft Auto, Sly Cooper, Killzone, Uncharted, Halo, and the list goes on and on and on with video game franchises that have so many people backing them insisting that they are the best video game franchise in the world.  But let's break this down.  The num...
