So as we all know, 2017 is set to be the year of the Spider, as Spider-Man: Homecoming is slated to hit theaters this summer, and as the third installment of the web-slinger is longing to outdo his 2 predecessors, Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire, there are some things that we can definitely see put into play during his first standalone film to possibly make that dream a reality. 1. Building On Captain America: Civil War So as we could plainly see during the events of Captain America: Civil War, the wall-crawler is back and better than ever.  As soon as he made his onscreen debut, Tom Holland's Spider-Man began his wisecracking and joking that made the original comic book Spider-Man so beloved by fans, thus bringing an element from the original conception to his incarnation of the Spider that had somehow managed to fall through the cracks in the last two incarnations.  One thing that we can expect for his solo film, is that this incarnation of Spider-Man is definitely g...

So the new Spider-Man is up and coming in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will appear for the first time in " Captain America: Civil War ", however, this will be the hero's third time on the silver screen and his third re-cast in Tom Holland after Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. I wanted to talk about why this third iteration needed to happen, and why there is now a third chance for a new Spider-Man lore to be restarted on the big screen.  To do this, we'll evaluate Spider-Man throughout Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's time as the web-crawler, and pose the question...why so many Spider-Men?  It should be noted as well that these are all different Spider-Men (Maguire - Original, Garfield - Amazing, and Holland - Marvel Cinematic Universe).
